This YouTube playlist from Business Insider has over 200 short videos, each digging into why particular goods and services are so expensive – from vanilla beans and wagyu beef to Canada Goose jackets and Lego. Each clip looks at factors like supply chains, labour intensity, branding, scarcity, and market demand.

The industry videos are great for looking at demand and supply, while the brand videos are good for market structures. There are a couple of nice links in there for global trade, too.

Because there are so many, you can assign a different market to a different student, or allow students to choose based on their preferences. Here is a worksheet you might want to use as a homework activity.
