RES Young Economist of the Year competition 2024

The Royal Economic Society's Young Economist of the Year competition 2024, sponsored by KPMG UK, invites students from Year 10 to Year 13 across the UK to explore and analyse key economic issues. This competition is open to all students, regardless of whether they are currently studying economics. Participants are encouraged to submit original essays or media presentations on one of five specified topics, which range from the merits of subsidising electric cars to the economic impacts of the gig economy and proposals for taxing unhealthy goods. Entries can be individual or in groups of 2-5, with written submissions capped at 1,000 words and media entries limited to a maximum of five minutes. This year's deadline is July 12th.
