Spent is a game made by Urban Ministries of Durham, NC. Essentially, you are asked to find a job and a house, and then make it through the month. It shows the difficult decisions that need to be made and the social consequences, explaining why people on lower-incomes are more likely to have strikes against them at their jobs, be less engaged in their child's schooling and are more likely to be unhealthy. It also covers stuff like the decisions over whether to take higher-paid but variable jobs, and whether to pick pricier housing with lower transport costs and vice versa.
