A hands-on station for open days, or a quick hook for the start of a lesson on inequality. Visitors cut a paper plate “pizza” into five slices to show what share of the nation’s wealth they think each fifth of the population holds, from the poorest 20% to the richest, and you then reveal the real UK figures. The richest fifth hold around 74% of wealth, while the poorest fifth are in debt overall, which is the grey slice and the part worth stopping to explain.
