Joan Robinson podcast

Joan Robinson was one of the most brilliant economists of the 20th century, a member of Keynes’s inner circle, and responsible for the theory of monopolistic competition that now features on the A-level spec. Yet she remains far less famous than her male contemporaries, which the episode addresses directly. There’s also coverage of her post-Keynesian economics and her fierce intellectual independence. She’s a good example of a woman whose work was central to the development of economics but who has been systematically underrecognised.
