Immerse Education Essay Competition 2026-27

Immerse Education, best known for its fee-paying Oxford and Cambridge summer schools, runs an annual essay competition open to students aged 13 to 18 worldwide, with a choice of over 20 subject categories including Economics alongside Law, Psychology and others. The question isn't published on the site: students register interest and Immerse emails the full prompt guide directly, so there's no way to preview the Economics question before committing. Entries are short, around 500 words (450 to 550 allowed), a lower-commitment option for a student who wants a taste of competition writing without the 1,500 to 2,000 word essays JLI or Marshall Society ask for. Worth flagging that the main prize is a scholarship towards one of Immerse's paid programmes rather than a cash prize, so it sits closer to a marketing funnel than a pure academic prize. That said, it's free to enter, deadline 25 October 2026. Enter here
