Cartels are one topic that seems to get students super excited. This multi-part investigative podcast tells the story of a cocaine super-cartel. It's definitely not written to communicate economics, but goes really well with Narconomics and has some really nice illustrations of concepts and is an exciting window into financial crime. Obviously you'll have to make a decision as to whether it is suitable for your setting!
